1.) A must have!!!

Works great, don't know how I managed without it. A second chuck to mount it on and leave it on is a good idea. Comes with two sets of rubberized pins, short and longer, and have used them all. Solid construction and fit without any problems.
2.) Works like a charm

I had always wanted to make some wooden bowls on my Jet Mini-lathe, so when these jaws arrived, I couldn't wait! They worked so well that I am finishing the bowl bottoms like a Pro! Recent thunderstorms have provided a wealth of 'good turning' wood from local trees, so I expect to use these jaws quite a lot! The eight inch maximum opening works well with the ten inch limitation of my lathe.
3.) Well made tool

This part is extremely well made and comes with 2 sets of clamping bolts. It will definitely last a lifetime. The packing was not all that impressive; this part was covered with congealed oil intended to protect against rust but has the effect of making the new owner spend considerable time cleaning it prior to first use.
4.) Works like it's supposed to at a reasonable price!

Bought this set of jaws to use with my Baracuda II chuck for turning the bottoms of bowls. So far it works fine. I also apply a few pieces of masking tape for a little extra safety in holding the bowl. I can't see how a more expensive set of jaws would do the job any better.

The product was delivered well before the expected delivery date and works exactly as advertised. I am very pleased with this product and look forward to many years of usage. My first project using the CJAWF12 was a success and I have already thought of new ways to use this device.
8.) 8" jumbo jaws for baracuda 2 chuck

The CJAWFJ2 large jaws fit my Baracuda 2 lathe chuck. I'm impressed in the rigidity of plates and having 2 sets of pins to hold several sized bowls or plates. This tool provides another way to secure wood turnings giving options on finishing the bowl bottom. Your shipping speed of "in-stock" products - stinks ! Kit N.

I've used these jaws quite a bit since getting them. Buying through Amazon I got a cheaper price than I would have through PSI.
10.) FINALLY A GREAT PRODUCT

IT WORKS GREAT. HOLDS THE BOWL NICELY AND MAKES IT A PLEASURE TO DO THE BOTTOM. SOMEWHAT OF A PAIN TO PUT IT ON AND TAKE IT OFF. IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT AND TURN A LOT OF BOWLS, GET AN EXTRA CHUCK AND KEEP IT ON ALL THE TIME.
11.) Nice addition
Reviewed by: Eric Northen Virginia

It's a nice addition to the Barracuda chuck. It comes with two different height "pins" that you can screw in. My only complaint is that the rubber/plastic covering the pins is a bit hard and not very sticky. I was expecting something a bit softer with more grab. I've only used it a couple of times to try to fix up some out of round bowls and each time, I've had a catch and the bowl goes flying out... Guess I need to work on my technique.
12.) Holds well, but black rubber can leave marks on lighter wood
Reviewed by: B. Meyers Wheaton, IL USA

These jaws are built solid and are useful when cleaning up the foot of a bowl. Be careful when turning a bowl's foot to make sure you do not knock the item out since it it only gripped by the rubber feet. I have had the feet slip, causing black marks to be left on light wood.
13.) Nice Jaws, could be bigger

The jaws work well within their limits. I have finished the bottoms of several bowls on them and none of them have escaped despite my ham-handedness. My only complaint is that (to me) a jumbo bowl is bigger than 8". 10" would be great, 12" awesome. I am considering looking into making fatter pins to expand the holding size for inside grips.
14.) PSI CJAWFJ2 Jumbo Flat Jaws Defect
Reviewed by: wood master Phx, AZ USA
Rating:
I never would have thought when buying this product that it would be designed with gaps in the inside and outside diameters of items it can grip. When turning my first hollow cylinder, I found that by moving the threaded pegs from one setting to another that neither setting would hold my project -- one setting slightly too big and the smaller setting slightly too small. This is taking into consideration the maximum adjustment using the Barracuda 2 chuck. The threaded holes in the jaw plates are spaced far enough apart that it creates these gaps.
